Degree in Mathematics (cum laude) at the University of Basilicata (1994). Grant by Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (ac. yr. 1995). Ph. D. degree in Mathematics at the University Federico II of Naples. Research fellow of Mathematical Analysis at the University of Udine since 2000.
Author of 36 articles published in international journals, which have collectively received 139 citations (MR).
I have held several communications in international conferences (four invited) and an invitation to Johannes Kepler University of Linz.
Further activities:
Scient. Comm. for Nat. competitions (Ricercatori).
Referee for several journals. Reviewer for Zentralblatt fur Mathematics and Mathematical Review.
Main research interest: Measure Theory, General Topology.
My research is mainly devoted to Measure Theory, specially to the functions, additive or not, defined on structures which generalize Boolean algebras. Among the studied questions, also shared with Italian and foreign colleagues, for example, there are structural problems (range, decomposition and so on) or convergence questions (Vitali Hahn-Saks and similar theorems).
Among the results obtained, in Topology and in Topological Methods for Measure Theory, for example, are the following:
“Answer to Raczkowski’s quest on convergent sequences of integers”, Topology and Appl 132/1, 89–101 (2003), in collaboration with Dikran Dikranjan, Chiara Milan and Hans Weber,
resolves an open problem posed by Raczkowski in Topology Appl. (2002) concerning precompact topologies.
“A representation theorem and a Lyapunov theorem for Ts-measures: the solution of two problems of Butnariu and Klement ” J. Math. Anal. Appl. Vol. 244 2, 408–424 (2000), in collaboration with Hans Weber,
resolves two open problems posed by Butnariu e Klement in “Triangular norms and some applications to measure and game theory. Fuzzy approach to reasoning and decision-making”, Kluwer Acad. Publ.
Didactic activities:
