Andrea Fusiello received his Laurea (Master) degree in Computer Science from the University of Udine in 1994. He received the Dottorato di Ricerca (PhD) in Computer Engineering from the University of Trieste in 1999. He had been Visiting Research Fellow at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh in 1999 supported by an EPSRC grant. From 2001 to 2004 he served as a Ricercatore (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Computer Science, University of Verona. In 2011 he became Professore Associato (Associate Professor) at the same department. In 2012 he moved to the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica, Gestionale e Meccanica, University of Udine, where he teaches Computer Vision and Fundamentals of Computer Science. In november 2008 he has been a visiting professor at the Université de Bourgogne (FR). He has been advisor of more than 49 Master students and 5 PhD students. His research is mainly focused on Computer Vision (image analysis, 3D model acquisition, image based rendering). He published more than 90 papers in the field, and his h-index is 13 (according to Scopus). He was involved with several funded reserach projects, both national (MIUR, ASI) and European (IV and V frameworks), and a number of industrial contracts. He has been the principal investigator in the national 3-SHIRT project (PRIN 2006). In 2011 he co-founded a university spinoff company. Since 1999 he has served as a reviewer for international journals and conferences. He has been a member of the programme committee of several important conferences, such as CVPR (since 2005), ICCV (since 2005) and ECCV (since 2006). He has been Associate Editor of the "Pattern Recognition" journal from 2006 to 2009, and of IET Computer Vision since 2013.
