Since November 1999 Assistant Professor of History of Christianity at University of Udine, Department of Historical and Documentary Sciences.

November 1995 - February 1999 Ph.D. course in Greek and Latin Philology at the Department of Greek and Latin Philology, University 'La Sapienza' of Rome. Ph. D Director: Luigi Enrico Rossi. Supervisor: Manlio Simonetti. Doctoral dissertation entitled: G. Vettii Aquilini Iuvenci Evangeliorum liber I. Edizione, traduzione e commento.
November 1996 - May 1997 Specialization course in Didactics of Classical Languages, University of Pavia.
March 1994 Degree in Classical Studies, University of Pavia (110/110 cum laude). I graduate in Greek and Latin Grammar, with a dissertation entitled: Paolino di Pella e i suoi modelli poetici tardi. Analisi dei valori fonici. Thesis Director: Domenico Magnino.

2010 Principal Investigator of the FIRB-Future in Research project ‘The textual transmission of the Latin Fathers between Classical and Medieval world’, granted by the Italian Ministry of Higher Education for the five years period 2010-2015.
2006-2008 Participant in the the “Research Program of National Interest” on Christianity Between Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages: Conflicts and Ways of Coexistence (national research program, sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Higher Education and coordinated by the University of Bologna).
2004-2006 Participant in the the “Research Program of National Interest” on The Transformation of Christianity (from I to VII century) (national research program, sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Higher Education and coordinated by the University of Bologna).
2002-2008 Coordinator (and since 2007 supervisor) of Bibliotheca Hagiographica Utinensis, a ‘virtual library’ -- search engine to locate all hagiographical books and manuscripts present in the libraries and archives of Udine and the surrounding region. The project was first initiated by Edmondo Lupieri, and sponsored by the 'Istituto Pio Paschini per la storia della Chiesa in Friuli'.
2002-2004 Participant in the “Research Program of National Interest” on Religious Conflict and Christian Identity (national research program, sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Higher Education and coordinated by the University of Bologna).
2000-2002 Project leader for Aquileia's area Hagiography, project funded by Italian National Research Council (CNR) as 'Young researchers project'.
